Abortion Clinic Closure Confirmed

The Columbus Dispatch is confirming the closure of Capital Care Women's Center (CCWC), located at 4818 Indianola Avenue.  According to a Capital Care Women's Network spokesperson CCWC will likely close within a month.

This killing center is closing.

Capital Care has been plagued with decreased demand and financial problems.  They recently cut back clinic hours due to difficulty keeping abortionists.  An increasingly strong pro-life presence in Central Ohio must be signifigantly credited with contributing to the decision to close.

The Gallup organization just reported that Americans that self-identify as pro-choice is at an all-time low (41%).  The closing of CCWC is just one of many indicators that we are winning the battle over abortion.

Created Equal Statement:
"The fact is Columbus now has one less abortion center.  Additionally, on a national scale, the numbers of abortion facilities have been declining for over a decade.  This closure is one of hundreds in the past few years that have brought the number of surgical abortion clinics to an all-time low of 659.  Ten years ago there were seven abortion centers in Columbus.  Today there are three.  The pro-life community won't rest until abortion is made unthinkable and there won't be a need for any more abortion clinics in Columbus or anywhere else.” --Mark Harrington, Executive Director, Created Equal

  2. Although it's nice to hear that there will be less abortion clinics, I fear that will not decrease the number of abortions. I fear of the number of illegal abortions. Maybe promote sexual abstinence, and for couples who want to have sex, promote the use of condoms and contraceptives.

  3. Hello, Kiwi Fruit! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I, too, fear illegal abortions--because I am opposed to killing innocent humans whether legal or not. This is why public education should go hand in hand with legislation. That is to say, not only do we advocate for making abortion unlawful, we also educate the public to make it unthinkable.

Our education, though, must have as its focus the truth that abortion is immoral because it kills innocent humans. A worthy debate should be had regarding the best method of sex education. I, for example, strongly support and once taught abstinence in various high schools. However, sex education regardless of what it looks like will not end unplanned pregnancies. Couples who are married get pregnant unexpectedly and choose abortion. Condoms fail.

Thus, we cannot turn to preventative measures alone to end abortion. We must uproot this terrible act itself both by educating the public at large that it is a human rights injustice and by making it unlawful.

    1. Wow. I am just surprised that my post got a reply. This website was actually linked to the Created Equal website, but somehow the "Blog" then got linked to someone's tumblr page, and I didn't know where this page actually went. Just recently, I did a Google search on [Seth Drayer], because the name just popped into my head, which pointed me to here. I can't believe it has been 7 months since I made my comment here.

Anyway, I see your point. Basically, you are suggesting that you stop abortion by outlawing abortion and by educating the public in terms of sexual education. However, when it comes to sex ed, that's a whole another ballpark. Related, but not the same.
